Hello fire-eyes, > https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156876 OK, but, I had it working (ati-drivers) but had no graphics acceleration. So I got greedy and tried new things. Since then I cannot seem to recover those steps to the point where the ati-drivers worked but no acceleration. This is bad and most of the docs are old. If I wanted to go back to the radeon driver it was blurred and the fonts, unfocused. bzflag would run very slowly. I wish I could just recover to the ati-drivers that work without 3D.... I also ran across a wiki about how ati-drivers 8.24.8 was the last ati-drivers binary that the 3D actually worked. There was a detailed set of instructions for installing ati-drivers-8.24.8 as an overlay, but, I cannot find that link now. I did find this site: http://odin.prohosting.com/wedge01/gentoo-radeon-faq.html#1_diaginfo Thanks for the bug_tip. James -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
