did you install it manually or did you emerge the latest version of
net-www/netscape-flash ?

Manually.  My quick eix for FlashPlayer got nowhere, so I didn't realize
there was such a thing.  I can undo my work and try the emerge.  For now,
assume the problem is fixed.
