Odd. Looks like portage claims to have installed the binary, but didn't. If you have portage logging enabled, please remerge eix and post the relevant log file in /var/log/portage - it'll be about 33k so maybe you should .tgz and attach it alan -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
