Indeed, the gnome ebuild itself does not depend on gamin, but it seems that with the ldap USE flag, it depends on sabayon, and sabayon depends on gamin. Why Sabayon would be related to LDAP, I have no idea whatsoever. I guess this means that I can just remove the ldap USE flag from gnome and it will work, though.
