Thanks for all the info. I really have no knowledge on these things except that they record like a CR-RW and they store a LOT more data. Other than that, the dvd-rw, dvd+rw dvd-ram and all the other stuff is very muddy here. I just don't want to buy one and it not support something popular. I don't want to get something the equivilent of a beta type VCR. If there is a VHS model out there that is what I need. I am looking at these right now. Can someone help me pick from these four? I don't see much difference myself. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827152077 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827106010 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827136102 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827152075 Also, correct me if I am wrong here, these will still burn CD-R and CD-RWs right? I may use my current CD-RW in another machine or something is why I ask. Thanks for the advice. I really need it. Dale :-) :-) :-) -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
