IIRC, eth0 on the live CD can be a IEEE1394 ethernet bridge, if you have a firewire port in the PC. The UNSPEC and 'weird' hardware address are indicative of this. Do you get an eth1 after loading those 3 modules? -Richard -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
