I have changed it to this:

# grep ^\ *filter /etc/lvm/lvm.conf
filter = [ "a|^/dev/hda|", "r/.*/" ]
========================
My cdrom drive is /dev/hdc. But this has not changed anything. I still get
those messages. :(
