I have a big problem. I am using 2.6.16-gentoo-r7 and the system stops booting from time to time. This happens, when I get the sequence of errors like:
ide-scsi: (IO,CoD) != (0,1) while issuing a packet command
hdc: ATAPI reset complete
Then it follows a "---------------[cut here ]--------------------"
And I get :
kernel BUG at include/linux/timer.h:83!
invalid opcode: 0000 [#1]
PREEMPT
Sometimes the systems boot swithout complaining.
