Search the list archives, this came up very recently. i think the program recommended was scdbackup. Note that backing up to DVD/CD file by file will destroy file permissions. I prefer to use squashfs to create a compressed copy of the filesystem and copy that to DVD. then I can mount it and copy files back without losing permissions. -- Neil Bothwick Ultimate memory manager; Windows, it manages to use it all..
