Is it the same size every time? Is is the same with different discs? It could be a fault on the disc. I usually use "cp /dev/dvd file.iso" but dd has always worked for me in the past, albeit slightly slower (even with a larger block size). -- Neil Bothwick Support bacteria - they're the only culture some people have.
