Typo > Usage: reiserfsck [mode] [options] device > > Modes: > --check consistency checking (default) But as you might guess typing a non-command would not produce silence as reported. reiserfschk -su: reiserfschk: command not found So it was a typo, I used the right command and then again adding --check after bootup had finished. (That is the default though so shouldn't make any difference) and it didn't. No output from `reiserfsck /dev/hdb6' whatever.
