The early versions of Firefox (1.0.x to approx 1.5-r4) used the "mozsvg" USE flag to enable firefox to load SVG images. However, the Changelog says: *mozilla-firefox-1.5-r4 (23 Dec 2005) 23 Dec 2005; Jory A. Pratt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> +mozilla-firefox-1.5-r4.ebuild: canvas and svg now default and indeed, the mozsvg USE flag is no longer available to firefox, but my firefox seems to render svg images fine. I tested by going to http://www.linuxrising.org/svg_test/test.html and opening one of the images in a new tab. http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/Test/20030813/svggen/styling-css-01-b.svg I'm using Firefox 1.5-r9 (self-compiled, not the -bin). So I'm not quite sure what your problem is, but it seems that it must relate in some fashion to the specific version of FF (maybe you're using a version that needed the USE flag, but you don't have it enabled).
