adjust the volumes, and run (under root) /etc/init.t/alsasound save or alsactl -f /etc/asound.state save or you can set SAVE_ON_STOP="yes" in /etc/conf.d/alsasound to save volumes on every shutdown all of these require that you have alsasound started at boot yoyo -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
