That is what it is. It's hal and dbus. If I login into KDE 3.4 it gripes about the version being to old. If I downgrade then login to KDE 3.5, I get that error message. I guess you need to decide which you will use and then stick with it. I have not had to much trouble with KDE 3.5 myself but your milage may vary. Dale :-) Let's see if this email works.
