Leaving aside all the arguments already presented about it being easier for the developers (they can give you a GUI configuration tool without having to code a GUI) - you don't have to use a browser to configure CUPS, there are other alternatives, such as KDE's printer config tool. -- Neil Bothwick Manual Writer's Creed: Garbage in, gospel out.
