Hope that it has an easy to use interface. > Oh, sorry to be of no help. One quick question: does xmms with xmms-musepack actually play the mpc files? (I mean, by itself, not invoked through mplayer).
What happens when you run the file against mplayer? Does it at least load xmms? For example, when I try to play a mpc file (just installed it as a test): [01:09 PM]wwong ~ $ mplayer X-Mod_radio_x-level.mpc MPlayer 1.0pre7try2-3.4.4 (C) 2000-2005 MPlayer Team CPU: Intel Pentium 4/Xeon/Celeron Foster (Family: 8, Stepping: 4) Detected cache-line size is 64 bytes CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 0 3DNow2: 0 SSE: 1 SSE2: 1 Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 SSE SSE2 85 audio & 196 video codecs Opening joystick device /dev/input/js0 Can't open joystick device /dev/input/js0 : No such file or directory Can't init input joystick Playing X-Mod_radio_x-level.mpc. (Quit) [01:10 PM]wwong ~ $ IIRC, if you have the +xmms flag, mplayer sort of defaults to passing all files it doesn't recognize to XMMS and see whether it can do anything about it (even when I try to play, outrageously, a postscript file for example). If your copy of mplayer doesn't even call XMMS and have it load the plugins, then something has gone awry.
