If anyone is wondering about the settings, add a new account and set the following:
Protocol: jabber Screen Name: <Account Name, stuff before the @gmail.com> Server: gmail.com Resource: Gaim Password: <Email Account Password> Alias: <Nickname> Under show more options Port: 5222 Connect Server: talk.google.com Anyway hope that helps anyone wanting to use the Google Talk instant messenger service with gaim.
