Yes, I saw that coverage at least once myself. I tried to ask a slightly different question. Its one thing to prune older versions but another to install two newer versions on the same emerge. Only to prune one after wards. I will be installing both kde-kde/base-3.4.3 and kde-kde/base-3.5 during the same emerge. Both are terribly slow compiling creatures. So I'll have twice the time chewed up. I was asking if I can head that off somehow.
