Instead of editing every other init.d script, and keeping on top of it with updates, there are two simpler possible alternatives. 1) Edit /etc/init.d/syslog-ng and add "before *" to the depend function. 2) rc-update del syslog-ng default && rc-update add syslog-ng boot. -- Neil Bothwick "Give me Liberty, fries, and two cokes to go!"
