If it has a fan on the CPU, its getting regular old Gentoo. I'm not compiling on anything with passive cooling; those get Debian. The SBCs I use to run Pi Hole come to mind.
I haven't tried using Gentoo with a binpkg type setup, but maybe the next time I have to install Linux on something that's passively cooled.
