To add to other posts. If it helps any, the enclosure I bought at least allows SMART to give me info from the m.2 stick. I'm not sure about sending commands tho. I first ran with -i to make sure it was the right size. Then I ran -a to see what all it reported, it was a good bit of info but I'm not sure what I was looking at anyway. If it will help, I can pull the stick from my safe and get all the info I can and post it. That may give details on controller chip inside the enclosure. I can also share the info it shows as well, to make sure it is giving the info you need and maybe hint at whether it can be sent commands as well. I noticed yours is a slide to close type. I read where the sliding types don't cool as well as the "sandwich" types. Still, since they govern their temps by throttling, it isn't like it will burn itself up or anything. Just might run a little slower during long writes, maybe reads too I guess. That's why I got the sandwich type. If you notice it heating up, sandwich type may be a better option if you want it to be able to run at full speed at all times. Just thought I'd mention. Dale :-) :-)
