I checked mine, emerge pointing to python is the same here. So that is good. Just some thoughts here. Did you run the source and env command after doing the chroot? Also, I'd check to make sure that you have a profile set that exists. I'd expect emerge to point out if it is not set correctly but one never can be to sure. Just do a eselect profile list and see if one is selected. If not, fix that and try again. If none of that helps, maybe someone else has seen this error before. Dale :-) :-)
