Microcode is usually applied as an initramfs, and I think you said you are not using any. If you set LOCALVERSION in the kernel config, your existing kernel will be installed with a new name, so you'll still have the working kernel to fall back on. -- Neil Bothwick Taglines are like cars - You get a good one, then someone nicks it.
