Hello list, A word to the wise:
I was caught out today when compiling a new kernel. I used to have a few code pages compiled as modules, as well as UTF-8 built in, but today I couldn't mount /boot for the new kernel because it needed ISO 8859-1 built in - the mount command didn't cause the module to be loaded. Now, of course, I have any likely code pages built in. Is this a bug or a feature of the 6-series gentoo-sources, or possibly just 6.2.x? Anyway, I was going from 6.2.0 to 6.2.1 when I was tripped up. Hope that helps someone. -- Regards, Peter.
