yes this was the very problem with me too. trying other versions of the driver didn't work, but running /sbin/NVmakedevices.sh solved the problem, and having added if [ ! -e /dev/nvidia0 ]; then /sbin/NVmakedevices.sh fi to my local.start now all is working fine. -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
