I suppose you could use mutt; I also have Steffen Nurpmeso's s-mailx on the back of my mind, having used nail when I was using Slackware. What put me off Slackware was their package manager completely ignoring dependencies; I was spoiled by NetBSD pkgsrc and FreeBSD ports. Tom
