Yeah I would suggest doing a emerge <package> and then CTRL-C'ing it and copying the url that it was attemping to download it from. That way you make sure you get the right sources for your current portage tree.

Hi,
You don't need *Gentoo* machine on the net. You can do an
emerge --fetch --pretend and it will show what you should download.
After it you can download needed files with a non-gentoo machine too.
