If you configure the kernel with EFI boot, you can also ignore the boot loader. I use "systemd-boot", which basically is "gummiboot" on my laptop to be able to select which kernel to boot. -- Joost -- Sent from my Android device with K-9 Mail. Please excuse my brevity.
