I don't know about podcasts, but for downloading web radio brodcasts I just use curl, via basically this script (I have modified it since posting on Gists so ffmpeg has been replaced with curl): https://gist.github.com/nobrowser/ad0a92a11ccc912c792806c8ead05707 If podcasts require you to parse a RSS feed to get the time or address etc., that could be done with a tiny bit of Python :-) -- Please don't Cc: me privately on mailing lists and Usenet, if you also post the followup to the list or newsgroup.
