OK, here's line 23-29 of my ebuild:

Happens with editors; sometimes you get changed spacing or line wrap,
and it gets saved for some reason.

I put that in, but it made no difference (according to both diff and emerge). So it must be something
else. Is there a way to force a fresh copy?
