Did you try with the alternative substitution syntax ("$(date +%F)" in
place of "`date +%F`") ?

Did you try to replace "%F" with "%Y-%m-%d" ?

Did you try to escape the % ("\%")?

I don't know Xface, so I give you advices with my Bash skills.
