Had to set these packages this way on my system. > media-plugins/gst-plugins-meta:0.10 -ffmpeg > media-plugins/gst-plugins-meta:1.0 -ffmpeg The build logs were showing that gstreamer wanted a very specific version of ffmpeg. The emerge of gst-plugins-* would always error out, otherwise.
