The last time I got a board that didn't have two ports is about 20 yearsago, and I never bought one for 400. They all just have 2, needed or not, even cheap ones.
However, checking out the consumer market (Europe) shows that 1 out of 10 mobo's has 2 ports usually. I always add(ed) a separate network card, even to have better control.
