I get similar output, if I try to emerge Bash-4.4, but it is prepared to go ahead if it can emerge Readline-7.0 too. If you comply -- I don't want to use a testing version of Bash -- , at the end of the merge output there wb a list of 18 pkgs which sb remerged, but which rely on a preserved library till you do. Preservation of libraries is a great advance in Portage, making such situations much easier to manage.
