You'll have to re-emerge x11-themes/gtk-engines-pixmap:

* x11-themes/gtk-engines-qtpixmap
     Available versions:  0.28-r1 ~0.28-r2
     Description:         A modified version of the original GTK pixmap
                          engine which follows the KDE color scheme

It's a theme engine on which themes for gnome/gtk are built. From the looks of it, it's out of date compared to GTK and therefore refusing to load - but you knew that already! ;)
