Small devices, tablets included, tend to be 'resource constrained' for the
person use to running linux. So find a device that has sufficient ram, gpu,
cpu and storage (ssd) to meet your needs. A usb3 port is a really good idea
for external storage/expansion/future needs, imho.

Also, Arm64 devices are plentiful now so  4 - 8 core arm64 based devices
should now be (or soon will be) plentiful ,particularly in the run up to
Christmas products cycles... Resource constraints are the biggest issue
for 'smart devices', imho.


Also beware that some 'product lines' have both 32 bit and 64 bit arm
processors under the same product name. caveat emptor!
