Or you might prefer [1]. I don't know whether the desktop profile will pull in some things you might not want in LXDE. I had profile [1] until recently, when I switched to [3] as this is a KDE box. Since then I've had fewer occasions to add USE flags to packages. One strategy would be to start with [1], and when you can see the effect more clearly, reconsider [2], but I wouldn't recommend any of [3] to [5] to you. -- Rgds Peter.
