It seems that mounting /tmp as a tmpfs filesystem isn't just a matter of adding an fstab entry. Sometimes, on bootup, I get error messages:

  fusermount: error: /tmp/dsflkjslfjsdlsomegarbledname doesn't exist

Or something like that (it scrolls by very fast and openrc doesn't seem to log anything.)

Is there a safe way to mount /tmp early on? It seems that mounting it through fstab is mounting it too late and files have already been created in it (which are then lost when mounting it.)
