Thanks Alan, I had already kicked around in that thread, and initially I blamed my recent xorg update. Then I tested fluxbox which had no problem reading my xorg.conf settings, so I thought it is most likely an e17 problem. However, Carsten said: "the kbd layout (xkbswitch) module changes layout by executing the setxkbmap binary. e will output to stdout what it runs with "SET XKB RUN: ...." So, is it an xkb problem? I can change the layout if I run manually setxkbmap gb, so what is the cause of this? I don't really understand ... :-( -- Regards, Mick
