Thank you for report here. I'm still interested in various return your can offer me. Try spnavcfg gui and don't forget to read : http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/SpaceNavigator whose contains a lot of useful information (I hope to at least :-) spacenavd and libspnav are stable now for few days.
