Thanks Alan, I set USE="-lightdm" and installed it without gnome dependencies. It seems lightweight enough and troublefree. The only two thinks I couldn't find how to set is: 1. Primary monitor: The taskbar (or whatever you call it) at the bottom of the screen. The user has two monitors of different dimensions and in KDE I had it set to show the taskbar in the right monitor 1920x1080, i.e. using the right monitor as the main monitor. Instead with razor-qt the left monitor 1280x1024 is set as the default monitor with the taskbar at its bottom. 2. GPG-agent: KDE starts gpg/ssh agents with its start-up script. Razor-qt does not seem to have something similar to clear existing gpg agent processes and start new when the desktop loads. -- Regards, Mick
