correct. That sums up what I experienced as well back then w/ core2duo etc. When I look up the difference between i7-2600k and i7-2700k at that one shop w/ the online configurator, it is right now ~29 EUR, taxes included. I think i7-2600k is the sweet spot right now. What board did you choose?
