There is, you put your options in a .conf file in /etc/portage/env, say /etc/portage/env/debug.conf. Then you can you can enable these settings for any package in /etc/portage/package.env, e.g. /etc/portage/package.env/amarok would contain media-sound/amarok debug.conf with similar lines for the other packages you need to enable this for. As the options are only kept in one place, it makes editing or reusing them much easier. -- Neil Bothwick Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.
