I have run k3bsetup, and have had k3b working well wtih CD-Rs. This is the first time that I've tried DVD+Rs, however. As with everything k3b ... I'm sure that the problem is not in k3b, but rather in its component parts that it is a front end to. In this case: growisofs. I've changed the subject of this email to reflect that. After having done a bit of research, and found out that others have this problem as well. I've tracked down the developer of the growisofs program, which resides within the dvd+rw-tools package, and have sent him an email. I'll be sure to post whatever happens to this list. If it does turn out to be a bug, and if he submits a patch, I'll be sure to file a bug with the Gentoo Bugtracker, along with the patch. That way, the patch can be incorporated in without having to wait for it to come down the pipe. Thanks again, all, for your help.
