Well, it "works" as far as it sets the key click value successfully (if you "xset q" you can see if it's set) but there's no noises made by my computer. Looking more at xset it seems it's really just for setting the volume on keyboards with built-in speakers (which I haven't seen for probably 20 years). Luckily(?) my keyboard is so loud it can be heard from the other side of the house. :)
