So if you've got to rearrange the partitions anyway, it is easier to just dd the whole thing in one go and then do the rearranging. Alternatively, set up the new partition table manually and them copy each filesystem. dding the partition table separately from all the partitions makes no sense. -- Neil Bothwick Of all the people I've met you're certainly one of them
