[gentoo-user] supported package count comparison

Hi,
Can someone refer me to a comparison of the number of packages supported by
Debian, Redhat etc.
For counting Gentoo packages I did:
eix -c | wc -l
and got 15849

Also, how can I count the number of stable packages in Gentoo?
