It looks like I have the same thing. # cat /usr/src/linux/.config | grep REALTEK CONFIG_REALTEK_PHY=m CONFIG_SND_HDA_CODEC_REALTEK=y FYI: This is my main box, not my laptop which is a dual boot. I haven't tried setting up sound on the laptop yet. Thanks
