Labels are stored in the filesystem, so LABEL= should always work. /dev/disk/by-label/ is created by udev rules, so it won't work if anything goes wrong with your udev rules or if you have to boot with init=/bin/sh. -- Neil Bothwick Tagline stealing is the sincerest form of flattery.
