A few quick things to check:

Did you run 'perl-cleaner --all'?

Did you run 'lafilefixer --justfixit'?

Did you run 'revdep-rebuild -v -i -- --ask'?

Did you try to remerge what is failing with MAKEOPTS="-j1"?
